“My faith demands - this is not optional - my faith demands that I do whatever I can, wherever I am, whenever I can, for as long as I can with whatever I have to try to make a difference.” -Jimmy Carter
As with every morning in the 21-Day Challenge, please complete your Morning Purpose Ritual, and re-write your purpose statement. (Today is the last day of rewriting your purpose statement, from Day 1’s Purpose Triangle Exercise.)
Vision Board Preparation
Tomorrow, you’ll visualize your purpose with imagery, via a Vision Board. A Vision Board is a collage of images that express various pieces of your Perfect Life (Day 2), your perfect day, life and world. To prepare for tomorrow, you’ll need to do the following:
Purpose Completion Map Exercise
This exercise will further deepen the vision of what your life will look like once purpose has fully upgraded every area. It will also help guide you during the Vision Board Exercise, preparing you to listen and look for the imagery that most inspires you and reflects your deepest desire and fulfilled, on purpose and fired-up life. In this exercise you’ll revisit every key area in your Purpose Challenge Map and share 3-5 words or phrases that describe each area, fully empowered and aligned with your life’s purpose.
Once you have these phrases written down, you move to the next column and write down or draw symbols, images, shapes or colors that feel most aligned with your purposeful vision. Generating awareness of these symbols, images, shapes and colors will empower you to be on the look out, not just for purposeful imagery in the vision board exercise, but in your life. You’ll start to see how the signifiers of your purpose are everywhere, how clues to living your purpose are constantly showing up in your daily life, that there is indeed magic in the world, subtle clues that can open new doors in your life of purpose.
Again, you’ll need your notebook and a pen. Please make 3 columns with these column headings. Once you’re finished with each life area, draw a horizontal line and move down the page until you have each of the 7 key life areas completed.
Row headings (Key Area):
Now that you have rooted your vision with symbols you can authentically and holistically begin the vision board exercise tomorrow, knowing that you have a full awareness of how each key area of life looks and feels when perfectly aligned with your life’s purpose.
One final step: Review the last column of imagery just before you go to bed. This will put your mind / subconscious to work on them and empower you to choose imagery tomorrow that is aligned.
